2014 record year for broadband equipment

Technology market research firm Infonetics Research, now part of IHS, has reported that worldwide spending on broadband aggregation equipment rose 9 per cent in 2014, to $8.2 billion, driven by robust sales of Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) equipment, particularly in China.
