Hulu, Fandango to launch movie channel
January 8, 2015
US streaming service Hulu has partnered with Fandango, the Comcast-owned cinema ticket retailer, to launch a new channel dedicated to movie content.
The channel will be available to all Hulu subscribers and feature original programming made by Fandango, which sells tickets to more than 22,000 cinema screens around the US. Hulu will begin streaming the content, which includes awards-themed celebrity interview show FrontRunners and movie recommendation show Weekend Ticket, in the coming weeks.
“Our Hulu partnership helps us extend Fandango video content onto new platforms, meeting a growing demand for premium movie-related content among moviegoers and Hulu fans alike,” commented Paul Yanover, Fandango’s president, at CES.
