BT Sport acquires World Darts rights

BT Sport has signed a deal to broadcast the BDO World Professional Darts Championship live from the Lakeside Country Club in January 2015.
BT Sport will be at the Surrey venue to show the global elite take the oche over 35 hours of coverage from the British Darts Organisation (BDO) World Championships between January 3rd and 11th. The deal sees BT Sport share live coverage of the Championship with the BBC.
Simon Green, head of BT Sport said: “We are delighted to be showing the BDO World Darts Championships, adding to the fantastic live sport and shows we have on our channels. We pride ourselves on offering a wide range of sport including top-flight football, first class Rugby, Motorsport, American Sport and much more.”
