November 13, 2014
African VoD streaming service Aflix is at the 2014 AfricaCom Exhibition in Cape Town, South Africa, showcasing its services including a Samsung Smart TV pre-installed Aflix app.
Aflix which is on stand 18 at the AfricaCast section at the Exhibition is exploring opportunities provided by the largest technology event of the year to boost the VoD market in Africa,
The Samsung pre-installed app comes on the heels of Aflix’s partnership with the electronic giant to pre-install the app on its smart TVs so that users can view Aflix content by going to the app in the Samsung app marketplace.
Speaking on the development, Director of Business Development, Nyasha Mutsekwa said: “Aflix continues to make significant efforts to expand reach of our service by exploring very viable platforms. The decision to partner with Samsung has a lot to do with our drive for deep and relevant content revolution, a desire which Samsung also clearly identifies with. We hope that this partnership will further strengthen our quest to satisfy our users in the Video-on-demand ecosystem.”
