Watchup on Amazon Fire TV stick
October 30, 2014
Watchup, the Stanford startup, has announced that its video aggregator news app will be exclusively available on televisions via the Amazon Fire TV Stick Amazon¹s first streaming media stick. The Watchup app is free and will be available on the Amazon Fire TV Stick shipping in mid-November 2014.
Watchup¹s app will offer viewers a TV newscast experience based on their personal preferences so that the content they see has the greatest impact.
“Watching the news is complicated enough so keeping our app simple for people to use was incredibly important. We want to give people the latest global news from multiple sources that impacts their lives, without all the fluff,” said Adriano Farano, co-founder and chief executive officer of Watchup. “That¹s what we are bringing to the Amazon streaming audience the power of global news information to the living room.”
