Turner Broadcasting may have hit the headlines for laying off some 10 per cent of its workforce, but that does not mean the broadcaster is standing still. Turner’s Asia Pacific division is to launch a new channel for South Korea, in association with local network Munwha Broadcasting Corp (MBC).
Oh!K will be a Korean-language general entertainment channel airing popular shows from MBC, which produces more than 1400 hours of material each year. MBNC is Korea’s oldest-established commercial broadcaster
“Oh!K combines the best in content with Turner’s proven history in curating some of the most successful channels in Asia Pacific,” said Kwang Han Ahn, Executive MD/Media Business for MBC.
