Setanta Sports expands Baltics presence

International broadcaster Setanta Sports has launched its Setanta Sport Eurasia channel in Estonia on STV, with plans to launch in Lithuania imminently.
The expansion into the Baltics builds on Setanta Sports Eurasia’s existing footprint in Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“With the co-operation with our distribution agent Wide Media, we are happy to bring good news to Estonian and Latvian sports-fans, that they have now access to top-sport events. We have successfully launched channels into the surrounding territories and believe these markets and a natural extension for our business,” said Dwyer Mccaughley, CEO of Setanta Sport Eurasia.
Setanta Sports offers a range of live sports such as football coverage of La Liga, Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1, FA Cup, Capital One Cup and UEFA Euro 2016 qualification rounds, as well as NHL, UFC, Formula E racing and World Championship boxing.
