Kaltura unveils end-to-end OTT solution
September 8, 2014
Video technology specialist Kaltura has unveiled Kaltura OTT TV, its next-generation, end-to-end pay-OTT TV solution. The result of integrating pay-OTT technology from the company’s recent acquisition of Tvinci with Kaltura’s video platform, Kaltura claims the solution is the most advanced and comprehensive on the market today. It includes advanced monetisation, social and personalisation features; innovative tools for improving user acquisition and retention; and multi-screen, multi-device support.
“Tvinci built a solid reputation for delivering advanced pay-OTT TV solutions. Since the acquisition in May, the combined Kaltura/Tvinci teams have focused on developing a solution with the most advanced set of proven capabilities in the market, including personalisation and social features that are critical to convert end users into paying subscribers,” said Ron Yekutiel, Chairman and CEO, Kaltura.
“Now, with Kaltura OTT TV, service providers can finally move away from siloed applications towards a holistic multi-screen offering. This is the OTT of the future – OTT 3 – covering any business model, any experience, on any device.”
Kaltura OTT TV can be installed on-premise or hosted in the cloud. It can also be deployed out of the box, or can be customised by a service provider to a granular level and integrated with additional components and systems.
Kaltura will be demonstrating its OTT TV solution at IBC 2014 (12-16 September) in Amsterdam.
