Strong Q2 for ProSiebenSat.1

German media group ProSiebenSat.1 Group has reported a net profit of €108.1 million in Q2 2014, 3.6 per cent higher than the year-ago period, on revenues that rose 10.6 per cent to €691.1 million.
“We increased our revenues dynamically in all key areas in the second quarter and thus continued to grow profitably,” said Thomas Ebeling, CEO of ProSiebenSat.1. “Our TV advertising revenues rose again. At the same time, our distribution revenues and our Digital & Adjacent business developed very positively. For this reason we are starting the second half of the year optimistically.”
In its largest segment, German-speaking broadcasting, revenues were up 5 per cent to €511.2 million The Digital & Adjacent segment, consisting of maxdome, gaming, web portals and other assets, delivered revenues that were 32.6 per cent higher at €149.2 million.
