Neighbours for Hulu
July 8, 2014
Australian soap opera Neighbours is making its US debut exclusively on the free, ad-supported Hulu as well as on the Hulu Plus subscription service.
New episodes of Neighbours will debut daily, Monday through Friday, on Hulu and Hulu Plus. The five weekly episodes will air four weeks after the Australian broadcast.
“Neighbours provides a delicious daily dose of Australian sunshine to soap-opera fans, and thanks to Hulu, we’re coming to the US at a perfect entry point for first-time viewers,” said Jeff Siegel, VP Digital Distribution and Home Entertainment at FremantleMedia. “The drama, the excitement and the intrigue are all wonderfully accessible to anyone eager to get hooked on the compelling storylines of Australia’s longest-running scripted television series.”
Distributed globally by FremantleMedia International, Neighbours comes to the US with enormous popularity and acclaim both in its native Australia and in the UK, where it has a long history of success.
