LatAm pay-TV grows 2% in Q1

This year has started very well for Latin America’s pay-TV operators. Subscriptions are up 2 per cent (quarter-on-quarter) to a record 63.7 million, as at March 31st, according to Dataxis,
Best performing markets were Venezuela (up 2.7 per cent), Brazil (2.5 per cent), Colombia (2.1 per cent) and Mexico (1.5 per cent).
Brazil leads the Continent in terms of pay-subscribers at 18.46 million, followed by Mexico (15.56 million) and Argentina (at 8.4 million).
