Ooyala, a specilaist in multi-screen video streaming and analytics, is providing a video solution for the Ziggo website, the largest cable operator in the Netherlands, in partnership with Basefarm. Ziggo now uses a combination of Ooyala and Basefarm’s technology solutions and services to power online content on its refreshed consumer website.
To help meet increasing demand for integrated web and video content management solutions, Ooyala formed a strategic partnership with Basefarm, a European managed services provider for mission critical business applications. Ooyala and Basefarm will build on their momentum with Ziggo to provide solutions to other pay-TV providers and broadcasters, especially throughout Benelux and the Nordic countries.
Neil Berry, vice president, EMEA for Ooyala, said: “Working with our partner Basefarm we have been able to deliver a reliable video solution to users of ziggo.nl, one that combines compelling new web experience with new forms of measurement. Ooyala’s aim is to help our customers understand the nuances of how the audience is watching, on any kind of device, so that they can turn those insights into improvements to their bottom line. Having these insights is no longer optional; it’s becoming a business mandate for operators everywhere.”
