The continued political unrest in Thailand has seen ten TV stations as well as many other community radio stations closed down by the army’s Peace Keeping Command centre.
BBC Monitoring is reporting that the stations, reflecting opposing sides of the political debate, have been closed down “to ensure propagated news is accurate and not distorted which may create misunderstanding and escalate conflicts”.
The TV stations are:
1. MV 5
2. DNN
3. UDD
4. Asia Update
5. P&P
6. Four Channel
7. Bluesky
8. FM TV
9. TNews
10. ASTV
