Canal Digital subs down, but Q1 revenues rise

By Chris Forrester
Scandinavian DTH operator Canal Digital lost 9,000 subs in its Q1 trading period to March 31st. However the remaining 920,000 subs helped drive revenues up 0.7 per cent (y-o-y) to NOK 1.128 billion.
Telenor says that positive currency effects helped compensate for the fall in core subscribers, and reported that adjusted EBITDA rose NOK 9 million from NOK 165 million a year ago to NOK 174 million in this most recent quarter.
