March 24, 2014
Discovery Networks Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa has announced the launch date of brand new ID Xtra channel on April 1st 2014.
From the start, the channel will be available on several large platforms in various key markets across the region: Russia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia. The channel will be launching in SD and HD versions in further CEEMEA markets throughout the year.
Kasia Kieli, President & Managing Director, Discovery Networks CEEMEA said: “After the successful roll-out of TLC, which is today the #1 real-life entertainment channel for women in many CEEMEA markets, we are now expanding our proposition for female viewers with ID Xtra. We believe the channel provides our distribution partners with truly unique content from the mystery & suspense genre and strengthens our portfolio, making it the best offer in Pay TV today. ID Xtra has already received a very warm welcome from our business partners and I’m sure viewers will feel the same way once the channel is on air in their markets.”
A female-led mystery and suspense channel, ID Xtra will showcase quality story-telling and immersive real-life mysteries, in a contemporary and stylish format, to present gripping suspense programming and dramas of everyday people behaving badly.
