Amino has selected the Access NetFront Living Connect DLNA Technology Component to power multiscreen media-sharing across its device portfolio.
“The way we watch TV is evolving to include content from a wide variety of sources – including live linear, OTT, catch-up, nPVR, local PVR, main-screen, second-screen, tablet, smartphone, companion screens with complimentary content, “ says Amino CEO Donald McGarva. “The value-add for operators in this world of multi-screen devices is to provide support for secure sharing of studio approved, premium content within the home network.”
“The ACCESS secure DLNA implementation provides a standards-based solution interoperable with Verimatrix CAS and PlayReady DRM to deliver this secure environment. It enables our middleware partners to utilise our industry proven Aminet software and developer toolkit, to offer operators a secure solution for discovery and sharing of premium content between the Amino Live Advanced Media Platform and consumers’ connected devices,” concluded McGarva.
