DirecTV adds 93,000 subs in Q4

DirecTV added fewer customers in the US and Latin America, its largest growth area, in the fourth quarter.
Net income attributable to the company fell to $810 million in the fourth quarter ending December 31st from $942 million year earlier. Revenue rose 7 per cent to $8.59 billion.
US net subscriber additions fell to 93,000 from 103,000 a year earlier, while new customers in Latin America dropped to 231,000 from 658,000.
“Our fourth quarter results capped off another solid year for DirecTV, as we finished the year with nearly 38 million customers across the Americas, maintaining our standing as the world’s largest and most popular video service,” said Mike White , president and CEO of DirecTV.
