Georgian telco and DTH operator Magticom says it has topped 100,000 subscribers to its MagtiSat operation. MagtiSat transmits using Astra 1G at 31.5 degrees East. A year ago the claimed number of subscribers stood at 40,000.
The DTH platform launched two years ago, and recently added 3 new film channels. It now transmits more than 100 standard definition channels and 6 in HDTV. A year ago MagtiSat took an additional transponder from SES in anticipation of expansion.
