TiVo aids TV binge-viewing World Record
January 13, 2014
History was made at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) when three TV fans continuously watched 87 hours of recorded television and broke the Guinness World Record for the longest marathon watching television session.
As part of the TiVo TV Binge-Viewing World Record Attempt, Dan Jordan, Spencer Larson and Chris Laughlin made the TiVo booth on the Convention Center show floor their home and watched nearly four days of binge-worthy TV programming through TiVo Roamio, which offers live and recorded TV, streaming video and video on demand.
“We’re honoured to receive this official recognition from the team at Guinness World Records,” said Tom Rogers, President and CEO of TiVo. “This ultimate marathon to set the TiVo TV Binge-Viewing World Record was a true feat of persistence and we’re all really proud of our participants.”
