Thai digital TV auction set for Dec 26-27

Thailand’s National New Bureau is reporting that the nation’s formal auctions for 24 new digital TV licences will take place during December 26th-27th. The pre-qualified bidders will take part in the auction.
Colonel Natee Sukonlarat Chairman of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC) announced the plan on December 16th, saying that 7 HDTV channels will be auction in Round 1 on December 26th from 8am-2pm. The second round would happen that same afternoon from 2pm-8pm.
The next batch of channels would be sold off on December 27th. Seven variety channels will be auctioned during the morning session while another 7 news channels and 3 “youth and family” services will be auctioned during the afternoon.
