Arqiva, Turner partnership
December 12, 2013

Arqiva, the communications infrastructure and media services company, has formed a global satellite distribution and play-out partnership with Turner Broadcasting across Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC). This marks the accelerated growth plans for Arqiva in the Asian market as it launches services in Hong Kong in addition to its existing services in Singapore.
Arqiva is now Turner Broadcasting’s largest partner for play-out responsibility for its EMEA and APAC markets. Building on its existing role as Turner’s largest satellite distribution partner in EMEA, Arqiva will be investing significantly in new technology to provide an end-to-end service including uplink to third party broadcasters across the region.
The multi-year deals will see Arqiva take responsibility for 24 channels in EMEA and a 17 channel service in Asia. These channels include Turner’s leading kids and entertainment brands Cartoon Network, Boomerang, TCM and Boing.
