November 20, 2013
SeaWell Networks, an expert in multiscreen video delivery solutions, has announced that US telco Nemont has selected SeaWell’s Spectrum Session Delivery Controller to deliver live and on-demand local video content over a subscriber’s broadband connection both on- and off-network. Nemont.TV is leveraging SeaWell’s unique distributed, resilient session-based video delivery system to enable control over each individual video session.
Integrated with the edge-cache system, Spectrum provides Nemont with advanced, per-session monitoring and control, including dynamic format repackaging to any adaptive bit rate (ABR) streaming protocol, policy enforcement and real-time user and device-level data. In addition, SeaWell’s Spectrum delivers unmatched stream resiliency and quality of experience (QoE) management.
“Unlike any other option available, SeaWell enables Nemont.TV to deliver innovative, superior services to our subscribers, while managing the quality of experience on a per-session basis,” said Derrick Mottern, Wireline Operations Manager at Nemont. “Our customers are our top priority, and our work with SeaWell further showcases our commitment to providing the best service possible.”
