Dailymotion opens subsidiary in Japan
October 15, 2013
Dailymotion has opened a new subsidiary in Japan: Dailymotion Japan KK and moved to Tokyo with his first employees.
With over 11 million unique visitors per month, Japan is Dailymotion’s third largest market behind France and the US with a strong audience growth in mobile in 2013.
With its new offices in Tokyo, the new team aims to develop partnerships with local content publishers and advertisers, the market for online advertising experiencing significant growth in Japan.
Cédric Tournay , CEO of Dailymotion, said: “Japan is a priority market for us with an already strong audience, especially via smartphones. It is the logical next step for Dailymotion to consolidate its presence with a dedicated subsidiary in Japan that will be able to develop new networks and address other local issues.”
