FRAPA recognition to launch at MIPCOM
October 3, 2013
The FRAPA Registration System designed to protect formats will be launched at MIPCOM in Cannes. FRS is a new service to be provided by FRAPA, the Format Recognition And Protection Association. The introduction of this service will take place at the biannual meeting of all companies and individuals associated with FRAPA. The FRS service will enable members to register their formats in a safe manner.
FRAPA will meet the urgent need of its members for an independent, non-profit system created to offer the best possible protection of formats.
FRAPA Chair, Patty Geneste (CEO of Absolutely Independent) commented: “As FRAPA, we’re proud to be able to introduce this new service. The registration of formats is one of the key steps in protecting your format. As legislation in many countries isn’t sufficient to adequately protect formats, this service is of major importance. It’s important to mention that the FRS database is legally protected in such a way that safety of data is ensured.”
