Iran still bans satellite dishes

Hundreds of illegal satellite dishes were destroyed over the weekend in the Iranian city of Shiraz when a government army tank crushed them to destruction. Local newspapers say owners of the seized dishes simply replaced them. The rules against dish ownership have been in place since 1994, and any attempts by the regime to curb viewers’ enthusiasm for foreign channels.
