Italy’s Guardia di Finanza financial police have arrested Andrea Ambrogetti, the director of institutional relations at Mediaset, along with 5 others, in connection with the collapse of Italian telco Interattiva, which went bankrupt last year. Ambogetti is also president of Italy’s National SAssociation for the Development of Digital TV (DGTVi).
Italian news agency ANSA says that Ambrogetti has been placed under house arrest because of his position within the company, although Mediaset itself is not involved in the case. Interattiva went bust with liabilities of some €3 million.
The six are alleged to have committed “fraudulent bankruptcy, attempted fraud and bid rigging”.
