Netflix goes Dutch
September 11, 2013
Netflix has launched in the Netherlands priced at €7.99 per month.
“We’re proud to bring the future of television to the Netherlands,” said Reed Hastings, co-founder and chief executive officer of Netflix. “The Dutch have incredible broadband, but until today have not been able to take full advantage of their fast connections. Now people in the Netherlands can subscribe to Netflix and instantly watch great TV shows and movies anywhere, anytime, for one low monthly price.”
The Dutch Netflix service offers many titles available in high-definition and with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround sound. Advanced recommendation technologies and connection through Facebook are also in place to help consumers discover TV shows and movies.
