Warner Bros shuffles international sales team
September 5, 2013
Warner Bros has shuffled its international television distribution business in a move that will see UK chief Robert Blair lead the global sales team with Jim Brehm.
Blair, who was previously senior VP, Northern Europe, Middle East and Africa, was responsible for selling Warner Bros series to UK broadcasters. He will now become executive vice president, Warner Bros International Television Distribution, alongside Brehm, who was previously senior vice president, sales, Canada, Asia Pacific and Latin America. The pair will develop the overall strategy and lead the sales effort of Warner Bros programming outside the US.
This comes after the Hollywood studio’s management shake-up earlier this year that saw Jeffrey Schlesinger become president of Warner Bros Worldwide Television Distribution, combining domestic distribution with international sales.
“Robert and Jim are two of the smartest most strategic executives in the international television business today,” said Schlesinger. “They are responsible for some of the largest and most innovative deals we have done internationally, as well as having incredible client relationships. I am confident that together with our existing team of talented sales executive around the world we can continue to design new and innovative ways to license our programming internationally and grow our business.”
