FOX launching in Netherlands

FOX’s entertainment channel is slated to launch in the Netherlands on August 19th. The fully localised 24-hour network will be available on EPG slot 11 to all digital TV subscribers of Dutch cable operator Ziggo.
The FOX launch rounds out FOX International Channels (FIC)’s portfolio in the market, which currently includes pay networks in the sports, lifestyle and factual segments via 24Kitchen, FOXlife and the suite of National Geographic branded channels respectively.
In the Netherlands, the FOX schedule will be tailored for broad men/female 12+ audiences, and will offer viewers a slate of premium, first-run programming anchored in four content pillars that span drama, movies, animation and sports with shows such as “The Walking Dead”, “The Simpsons” and “Da Vinci’s Demons”
Parent company FIC will operate the new network in partnership with Eredivisie Media & Marketing the Dutch media venture owned by FIC, Eredivisie, Endemol and KNVB. Also premium channels FOX Sports Eredivisie and FOX Sports will be operated through this partnership.
