July 10, 2013
NDN, the Digital Media Exchange that powers the profitable newsroom, has announced the launch of Studio, a responsive video platform that enables users to discover, consume and share high-quality video content across all devices. New York Daily News is one of the first publishers to implement NDN’s partner-branded video portal to greatly extend its consumer offering with featured playlists, trending videos and enhanced search engine optimisation results with unique URLs for each video.
“As our readers continue to view our video content across a variety of devices, we need to be able to offer them the ideal user experience that they now expect,” said Garrett Ward, director – digital operations, New York Daily News. “With NDN’s Studio, our video content drives greater engagement and provides consumers with enjoyable, customisable and responsive features across devices and platforms.”
According to comScore, there will be more than 73 million mobile video viewers in 2013, an increase of almost 20 per cent relative to 2012. With Studio currently rolled out as an offering to NDN’s thousands of publisher partners, the innovative video product will drive engagement and encourage discoverability across a diverse set of devices.
