thePlatform, LSDLive Cloud for LatAm
June 26, 2013
thePlatform, the white-label video publishing company and independent subsidiary of Comcast, and LSDLive, the live event producer in Argentina, have announced a new strategic agreement to provide comprehensive publishing services for live and on-demand video, across devices, throughout Latin America.
Under this new agreement, LSDLive has licensed thePlatform’s mpx system, which will be bundled as a complement to LSDLive´s suite of video production services, encoding, uploading, and live event technical support. With mpx providing the back-end, customers will be able to manage and distribute live and on-demand videos to their own websites, third-party sites, smartphones, tablets, and more.
“We’ve had our eye on the tremendous opportunity in Latin America for some time,” said Marty Roberts, senior vice president of sales and marketing at thePlatform. “Now, with LSDLive, we have a partner with proven experience and an exceptional reputation serving the Latin America video market. Their expertise in live events, coupled with our cloud-based video management system, will provide programmers, TV operators, and other content owners an unmatched choice for their video businesses.”
