Troubled Belgian outside-broadcast giant Alfacam is being bought out of bankruptcy protection by French media company Euro Media Group.
Euro Media Group is backed in part by Belgian investment company Ackermans & van Haaren. Euro Media is already involved with providing broadcast services for live events.
Financial details were not divulged but local reports suggest that they paid around €25 million for the assets.
Alfacam, which is Europe’s largest supplier of OB equipment, has been up for sale since October last year and India’s Hinduja Group were once lead bidders but later withdrew.
