Universal Channel launching in Germany

The channels’ division of NBCUniversal International Television has confirmed the launch of flagship pay-TV brand, Universal Channel, in Germany. The channel will be available from September 5th on Sky Deutschland in HD and on Deutsche Telecom, in both HD and SD.
“The German launch of Universal Channel – our flagship channel brand – is an exciting milestone for Universal Networks International as we focus on the strategic growth of our channels’ portfolio in key markets around the world,” said Menendez. “This launch and our overall investment in Universal Channel, underscores the brand’s key role as a portfolio driver in our channels’ business and our long-term commitment to its success.”
A core channel brand for Universal Networks International (UNI), Universal Channel is currently seen in 103 countries and delivered in 16 languages around the world.
