TivùSat reaches 1.8m active smart cards

Italian DTH platform TivùSat has reached the figure of 1,800,000 active smart cards, corresponding to over 1.5 million households or 6 per cent of Italian families.
The Italian regions with the highest penetration rates are Calabria, where 12.7 per cent of families have opted for TivùSat; Liguria (12 per cent), Molise (11.9 per cent), Valle d’Aosta (10.4 per cent), Basilicata (10.4 per cent) and Sicily (8.8 per cent).
TivùSat currently makes available 58 TV channels, both Italian and international, as well as 44 radio stations.
