Mexico continues, with Brazil, to be a pay-TV ‘hot spot’ for central and southern America, closing last year with a promising 22.8 percent growth to 12.95 million subscribers. Some 6.9 million are DTH subscribers.
Cable and DTH numbers moved ahead, but MMDS subscribers tumbled 34.2 percent with just 134,000 homes viewing the old technology.
