February 11, 2013
Verimatrix, the specialist in securing and enhancing revenue for multi-network, multi-screen digital TV services, has announced that Ivi.ru, the popular free Internet cinema in Russia, has deployed the Verimatrix Video Content Authority (VCAS) for Internet TV to provide security for its OTT VoD service. Ivi.ru boasts one of Russia’s largest VoD catalogues on a wide range of devices, making security of service delivery a critical consideration.
“Ivi.ru is committed to providing our subscribers with access to the widest range of premium content available today in Russia,” said Evgeny Rossinsky, chief technical officer, Ivi.ru. “A robust content protection solution is critical in order for us to not only obtain the rights to publish this content from the studios, but also to help guarantee the best possible quality of service (QoS) for our subscribers.”
