UKTV creates social media team

UKTV, the network of 10 channels owned by BBC Worldwide and Scripps Networks Interactive, has created a new social media team to help drive the company’s digital innovation strategy.
Steve Hornby has been promoted to the new role of Head of Digital and Social Media and he is currently recruiting for a Digital and Social Media Manager to join his team. He is responsible for editorial across all of UKTV’s digital and social media platforms and reports into Emma Tennant, Controller, and Simon Michaelides, Marketing Director.
Tennant said; “This role has been created to sit across both editorial and marketing to ensure that we have a cohesive approach to digital and social media and maximise opportunities across the network. Steve has proved that he has the vision and leadership to drive UKTV’s digital and social media output and we are delighted to have him in the role.”
