Helicopter crash close to WRN, DTG and ATV

This morning’s helicopter crash at Vauxhall Cross has impacted on a number of industry organisations. Nearby play out centre WRN enacted contingency plans to keep its stations on air while the Digital Television Group based along the Albert Embankment is disrupted by transport shut downs.
Advanced Television’s own office in Bondway is only 100m from the crash site and at mid morning was still subject to evacuation.
The helicopter hit the top part of a crane involved the construction of the residential St George’s Tower at about 0800 hours this morning. There are two confirmed fatalities including the pilot.
