BBC Sport launches iPhone app
January 8, 2013
BBC Sport has launched a free mobile application for iPhone and iPod touch devices in the UK.
The customisable app provides football transfer news, a live scores section, live text coverage of a selection of sports, plus live Radio 5 live and 5 live sports extra streams.
Video highlights will be introduced soon; as will a version for Android.
Lucie McLean, executive product manager for sport at BBC Future Media, said: “The new BBC Sport app builds on the success of London 2012 to give users an even easier way to get the content they love, whether it’s checking out how their team got on, following live text updates on the day’s sporting action or catching up with the latest news.”
