Intel joins MoCA as promoter member
December 5, 2012
Intel Corporation has joined the Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) as a Promoter member. Jim Crammond, Chief Technology Officer of Gateway Solutions within Intel’s Service Provider Division, will represent Intel on the Board of Directors.
Intel has been a Contributor level member for a number of years and has been instrumental in helping the Alliance and the technology gain traction among pay TV operators worldwide. Contributor level members are eligible to participate in all MoCA work groups and have voting rights. Promoters also serve on the Board of Directors and are involved in all aspects of managing and guiding the Alliance.
“Intel understands the value of a reliable home networking backbone and the Board is looking forward to their insight as we roll out MoCA 2.0,” said Charles Cerino, MoCA President.
