DirecTV Latam boosts HD signals

DirecTV is to revamp its channel output for its Latin American satellite output in the New Year, and in the process increase the number of HD channels on offer.
The new line-up will contain 147 standard-def channels, and 42 HDTV services. The new channels include SD and HD channels such as Bravo, Lifetime, SyFy, Golf Channel, MLB Network, The Tennis Channel, NBA TV, beIN Sports, NBC Sports Network, Headline News, Animal Planet US, NIck Jr., TV Dominicana y Comedy Central.
Additional changes will see new reception dishes made available as well as a new range of HD-DVR set-top boxes.
