ANGA Cable Show becomes ANGA COM
November 5, 2012
In 2013, the international ANGA Cable Show (June 4-6, Cologne) will become ANGA COM – Exhibition and Congress for Broadband, Cable & Satellite. “COM” stands for “communication” and represents the two thematic pillars: broadband and media.
Dr. Peter Charissé, Managing Director at ANGA, commented: “Over the last few years, our event has developed into Europe’s leading business platform for broadband and content providers. In a focused manner we bring together network operators, vendors and broadcasters like no other event. Our product range covers broadband Internet, telephony and content distribution on a par. This is now more clearly reflected by our new appearance.”
The third day of the congress – organised in cooperation with the BITKOM Association – has as its theme ‘Connected Home Special’. BITKOM is the voice of the information technology, telecommunications and new media industry in Germany. BITKOM represents more than 1,700 companies including nearly all German global players of the ICT business.
Dr. Bernhard Rohleder, Director General, BITKOM, said with the ‘Connected Home Special’ the Association wanted to contribute to the event’s successful continued development and build an interesting platform dedicated to home networking. “We aim to create a high-level B2B platform for the connected home, a key topic for the future,” added Charissé.
