Davie replaces Smith at BBC Worldwide

Tim Davie, the head of BBC’s director of audio and music and passed over candidate for DG, has been appointed as the new chief executive of BBC Worldwide. The appointment brings an end to John Smith’s 23-year career with the corporation.
Davie, a former Pepsi marketer who has been running the BBC’s music division since 2008, will take up the role on December 1st. He joined the BBC in 2005 as its marketing director.
