Digital TV Labs becomes Dolby licensee
September 4, 2012
Digital TV Labs, providers of specialised receiver conformance products, services and consultancy, has become an official licensee of Dolby Laboratories.
The licence enables Digital TV Labs to offer CE manufacturers and middleware vendors a new streamlined service for Dolby pre-testing. In addition, manufacturers will have access to a dedicated team of technical experts who will host and aid in the debugging of devices, prior to Dolby submission. This will greatly widen the availability of specialised technical services available to manufacturers seeking to get devices to market.
The new service offering follows a history of collaboration projects between the two companies who have already worked on emerging technologies such as HbbTV, MPEG-DASH and TNT2.0.
