Google TV Germany is go

Sony has confirmed it is bringing its new Google TV set-top box to Germany. Sony announced that it will start selling its new NSZ-GS7 set-top box to German consumers starting next month. The device will officially be introduced at the IFA fair next week, and then go on sale mid-September for €199.
Sony had announced at CES that it would make its Google TV devices available in countries around the world later this year, and UK retailers started selling the NSZ-GS7 in June.
Germany is an attractive market for Google TV as Netflix hasn’t launched in the country yet, and won’t do so until at least next year. Hulu is said to be studying the market, but no move is imminent. Plans by local broadcasters to launch their own Hulu were stopped by the courts.
Roku has also been attracted byu the lack of competition and recently announced its launch in Germany.
