Liberty-backed Cablevision in Puerto Rico has added Olympic Games 3D coverage on a dedicated channel.
Cablevision, in essence, is relaying NBC’s Olympics 3D channel for local consumption as an add-on to the island’s existing 72 HDTV channel offering.
Cablevision has some 79,000 subscribers. Back in June, it acquired cable operator OneLink and the plan, once the deal wraps, is to extend Cablevision’s offering to OneLink’s users/subscribers, and will give a combined reach of some 480,000 RGUs and passing 700,000 homes.
