Discovery Networks Latin America/U.S. Hispanic, a division of Discovery Communications, has confirmed the launch of the HD versions of two of its channels, Discovery Home & Health on July 1st and Investigation Discovery on August 31st. The new channels will complement the company’s existing HD offering in the region, which already includes TLC HD and Discovery HD Theater.

Discovery’s HD channels currently reach more than 6 million subscribers in Latin America. With the launch of Discovery Home & Health HD and Investigation Discovery HD, Discovery’s regional portfolio will include a total of 15 channels, four of them in HD, expanding its offering to new audience segments.
