From David Del Valle in Madrid
The Spanish media group Prisa TV, owner of digital DTH platform Canal Plus with 1.8 million subs, and manufacturer LG have signed an agreement whereby Prisa’s OTT service Canal Plus YOMVI will be made available on all LG Smart TV sets.
Canal Plus YOMVI will allow users equipped with a LG smart TV set to have access to Premium TV content including TV a la carte and live streaming TV channels with cinema films and sports events as the main features.
With this new move, Prisa TV intensifies its strategy to make all its content available to all distribution platforms in an attempt to boost subscriptions.
