3m French homes have smart TVs

Market researcher Mediametrie has reported there were nearly three million smart TVs in France in Q1, 2012 – meaning that 10.7 per cent of French homes had TVs that could access VoD or apps over the Internet.
The number of homes with smart TVs rose by 40 per cent from the end of 2011. About 1 per cent of homes expect to buy a smart TV in the next 6 months and 4 per cent, or nearly 1 million, within 2 years.
