ShowCaster, an online live interactive TV platform, has formed a partnership with zeebox to deliver innovative live video shows within zeebox, to complement live TV formats.

By giving viewers the opportunity to watch and interact with the cast during and following their favourite shows, the integration of ShowCaster further enhances zeebox’s second screen experience says the company.  As well as driving deeper audience engagement, the partnership will provide broadcasters and production companies with innovative TV formats and new opportunities for owning and monetising their audiences online.

ShowCaster’s full service interactive web TV platform is already being used by major broadcasters such as Channel 4 and Sky on hit shows such as Made In Chelsea and Skins.  As well as enabling broadcasters to rapidly embed live HD video into their websites, ShowCaster capitalises on the interactivity of the web by encouraging audience participation via Twitter, Facebook and polls – the results of which are immediately available to the presenter.
